Module 7 - Interact With Impact: Challenging Types of
People
Objectives
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
- Identify four elements of an Interact With Impact Model
which provides a strategy for influencing others
- List the differences of style preferences and what makes
them challenges
- Name the ten classic types of challenging people and their
characteristics
- Create and act out each of the challenging types of people
based on specific scenarios.
This module reviews the concept of an Interact With Impact model
which identifies a variety of personal styles of interaction
and dimensions of influence. Participants will have an opportunity
to become aware of Challenges that they face as they interact
with the styles and preferences of others. Participants will
understand the ten classic types of challenging people: The
Bull, The Fox, The Time Bomb, The Whiner, The Stone Wall, The
Ultra-Agreeable, The Negativist, The Know-It-All, The Phony-Know-It-All,
and The Procrastinator. An emphasis is placed on individual
and small-group "hands-on" activities which apply and reinforce
the concepts.
